There's been
some talk of revolution in the last few months. The more cautious have pointed
to the bloody experiences of the Arab Spring countries. The Bible would warn us
against putting all our confidence in political change. But it would call us to
a different sort of revolution.
Steven Musa-Kormayea, who leads the Servants of the Word training programme in The Gambia said this a few years ago:
'Every generation needs a reformation’ is a true saying for us also. The reformation which Africa needs is now, and it must be harnessed and sustained through word teaching. We must return to apostolic preaching and teaching, with the necessary prayer that must go with it, bearing in mind the challenges our region is currently faced with. The authentic message, directly and pointedly applied, enthusiastically and joyfully communicated.
